【摘要】:Thisstandardshallspecifytheminimumselection,care,andmaintenancerequirementsforstructuralfirefightingprotectiveensembles,andtheindividualensembleelementsthatincludecoats,trousers,coveralls,helmets,gloves,footwear,andinterfacecomponentsthatarecompliantwithNFPA1971,StandardonProtectiveEnsembleforStructuralFireFighting.ThisstandardshallalsoapplytostructuralfirefightingprotectiveclothingandequipmentcertifiedascomplianttopreviouseditionsofNFPA1971,StandardonProtectiveClothingforStructuralFireFighting;NFPA1972,StandardonHelmetsforStructuralFireFighting;NFPA1973,StandardonGlovesforStructuralFireFighting;andNFPA1974,StandardonProtectiveFootwearforStructuralFireFighting.Thisstandardshallnotapplytootherorganizationalprogramssuchasstructuralfirefightingprotectiveensemblesfortraining,appropriateuseofstructuralfirefightingprotectiveensemblesforoperations,andinfectioncontrol,astheseprogramsareunderthejurisdictionofotherNFPAstandards.Thisstandardshallnotapplytorespiratoryprotectiveequipmentorpersonalalertsafetysystems.ThisstandardshallnotapplytoprotectiveensemblesorprotectiveclothingthatarecompliantwithNFPA1976,StandardonProtectiveEnsemblesforProximityFireFighting;NFPA1977,StandardonProtectiveClothingandEquipmentforWildlandFireFighting;NFPA1991,StandardonVapor-ProtectiveEnsemblesforHazardousMaterialsEmergencies;NFPA1992,StandardonLiquidSplash-ProtectiveEnsemblesandProtectiveClothingforHazardousMaterialsEmergencies;andNFPA1999,StandardonProtectiveClothingforEmergencyMedicalOperations.Therequirementsofthisstandardshallnotapplytoaccessoriesthatmightbeattachedtoanyelementofthestructuralfirefightingprotectiveensembleunlessspecificallyaddressedherein.Nothinghereinshallrestrictanyjurisdictionfromexceedingtheseminimumrequirements.
