【摘要】:Becauseofthewidevarietyofpotentialusesofrigidcellularplastics,artificialexposuretoestimatetheeffectivebehaviorofthesematerialsmustbebased,toagreatextent,ontheintendedapplication.Towardthisend,thistestmethodisintendedtorecommendavarietyofconditionsfromwhichoneormoreofthedesiredexposureconditionscanbeselected.(Note3)Theconditionsrecommendedinthistestmethodhavebeenwidelyusedinartificiallyexposingrigidcellularplasticsandindeterminingtheeffectsofvarioustemperaturesandhumiditiesonthesematerials.Finaltestmeasurementsaredeterminedafterthespecimensreturntoroomtemperature.Wherespecified,thespecimenswillbetestedattheexposurecondition,butmustbereportedassuch.Dimensionalchangesmeasuredbythistestmethodcanbeusedtocomparetheperformanceofmaterialsinaparticularenvironment,toassesstherelativestabilityoftwoormorecellularplastics,ortospecifyanacceptancecriterionforaparticularmaterial.Theresultsofthistestmethodarenotsuitableforpredictingend-useproductperformanceorcharacteristics,noraretheyadequateforengineeringordesigncalculations.Note38212;Wherethermalshockisknownorsuspectedtooccurduetorapidheatingto(orcoolingfrom)aparticulartemperature,guidanceonthepermissibleheatingorcoolingrates,orboth,shallbeobtainedfromthemanufacturerofthematerialconcerned.Note48212;Thedimensionalchangeofaspecimencanvarydependingupontheageofthesampleorthelengthoftimebetweenspecimenpreparationandthebeginningofthetest,orboth.Beforeproceedingwiththistestmethod,referenceshallbemadetothespecificationofthematerialbeingtested.Anytestspecimenpreparation,conditioning,dimensions,ortestingparameterscoveredinthematerialsspecification,orcombinationthereof,shalltakeprecedenceoverthosementionedinthistestmethod.Iftherearenospecifications,thenthedefaultconditionsapply.D1.1Thistestmethodcoversproceduresforthethermalandhumidexposureofrigidcellularplastics.Conditionsusedshallbeagreeduponbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier.Note18212;AlistofcommonlyusedexposureconditionsisfoundinTable1.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note28212;ThistestmethodisequivalenttoISO2796inthesamplingandcalculationsections.ItisnotequivalenttoISO2796intheproceduresection.TABLE1TemperatureandRelativeHumidityConditionsTemperature,x00B0;C(x00B0;F)RelativeHumidity,%x2212;73x00B1;3(x2212;100x00B1;6)
